Basketball Recap: West Caldwell Comes Up Short

West Caldwell lost against Bunker Hill back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Caldwell Warriors took a 48-31 bruising from the Bunker Hill Bears. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Bunker Hill found their leader in sophomore Eliana McClain, who posted 20 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McClain has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hayley Spriggle, who earned ten points.

West Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Bunker Hill, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Caldwell has already played their next matchup (against Maiden), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bunker Hill will face off against West Lincoln at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Bunker Hill is facing West Lincoln at the right time seeing as West Lincoln is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
