It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Boiling Springs had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the James F. Byrnes Rebels as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matches in a row.

Boiling Springs never let James F. Byrnes on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-22.

Boiling Springs found their leader in sophomore Caleb Yang, who had 26 digs and three assists. Those 26 digs set a new season-high mark for Yang. Coleman Wheatley was another key player, getting 27 assists.

Boiling Springs' victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for James F. Byrnes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-21 record this season.

Boiling Springs will face off against Mauldin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. James F. Byrnes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
