Recap: Covington Academy Bulldogs vs. HALO Wolfpack
The Covington Academy Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to HALO 70-65. Covington Academy lost against HALO in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-45 score last time.
Covington Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gino Brown, who scored 23 points. Austin Lowery was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Covington Academy's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for HALO, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covington Academy will be home for the holidays to greet CrossPointe Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. CrossPointe Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. HALO will be home for the holidays to greet Konos Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Konos Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
