Volleyball Recap: Greenville Has No Trouble Against Marquand-Zion

Greenville not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since August 29th (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Marquand-Zion Tigers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Greenville was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-10.

Ariel West paced Greenville's offense, picking up ten kills. West got some help from Heidi Rogers and her six assists. Poppy King controlled things from the service line, finishing with ten aces.

Greenville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7-1 record this season. As for Marquand-Zion, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Greenville will venture away from home to take on South Iron at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marquand-Zion has already played their next game (against Westwood Baptist Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
