Starkville got big games from
Luke Altmyer (162 yards passing) and receiver
Rufus Harvey, who caught eight passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns.
The loss at the top set the tone for a wild night of upsets in the Mississippi Top 25, as No. 4 Oxford, No. 7 Pearl, No. 16 Jackson Prep and No. 25 West Marion all went down to defeat.
