Volleyball Recap: Capitan Comes Up Short

Capitan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Cloudcroft Bears, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Capitan took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-15, 25-21.

Capitan's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Cloudcroft, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Capitan will challenge rival Mescalero Apache at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cloudcroft is set to square off against their familiar foe Lordsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
