Football Recap: Olathe North Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Olathe North and Gardner-Edgerton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Olathe North had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Trailblazers and fell 63-35. The Eagles have struggled against the Trailblazers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Olathe North lost, don't look at Blaise Adger. Despite the final result, he rushed for 150 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 56 receiving yards and one score. Adger's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

Syre Padilla produced another solid effort rushing for 333 yards and five TDs while picking up 13.9 yards per carry for Gardner-Edgerton.

Olathe North's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Gardner-Edgerton, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Olathe North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gardner-Edgerton, they will take on Shawnee Mission Northwest on Friday. The Trailblazers will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games.
