Football Game Preview: Twin Falls Bruins vs. Minico Spartans

The Twin Falls Bruins will venture away from home to square off against the Minico Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Minico took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Twin Falls, who comes in off a win.

Twin Falls' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Burley 41-0. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 30 points or more this season.

Jackson Sattelberg produced another solid effort rushing for 114 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while also picking up 39 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Sattelberg was just one part of a punishing run game: Twin Falls was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Minico's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost to Madison on the road by a 31-12 margin. The matchup was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but the Spartans couldn't quite close it out.

Twin Falls' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.8 points over those games. As for Minico, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
