Softball Recap: Port Aransas Takes a Loss

Port Aransas suffered their closest loss since March 26, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Taft Greyhounds by a score of 9-7. The Marlins haven't had much luck with the Greyhounds recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Port Aransas' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Taft, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Port Aransas will be taking part in a tournament against Falls City at 5:20 p.m. on Friday. As for Taft, they will take on Charlotte in a tournament on Friday. Charlotte's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Taft's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
