Baseball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Anacortes

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Anacortes and Nooksack Valley, and Anacortes kept the tradition alive. The Seahawks were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Pioneers on Friday. The Seahawks have beaten the Pioneers the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Pioneers has come to flipping the script.

Anacortes' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.5 runs. As for Nooksack Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Seahawks 3.8, the Trojans 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
