Football Recap: Ardmore's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Ardmore and Cushing squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ardmore had to settle for second. They fell 49-43 to Cushing. Ardmore's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

K'DRIEN MILLER threw for 118 yards on five of 15 attempts. JADENCE WRIGHT was his top target, picking up 84 receiving yards. On the ground, JAMANE STUBBLEFIELD rushed for 323 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry.

Roman Tucker continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cushing, rushing for 163 yards and three scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 262 yards and a pair of TDs on only 18 passes. That's the most rushing touchdowns Tucker has posted since back in November of 2024. Bryce Ward was Tucker's top target, picking up 150 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Ardmore's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Cushing, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Ardmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cushing, after each having a week off, they and Elgin will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on December 5. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Owls have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
