Football Recap: West Shamokin Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for West Shamokin's offense. They were beaten by the Homer-Center Wildcats 30-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Wildcats are ranked 160th).

Ryan Booher threw for 26 yards on five of nine attempts. On the ground, Aiden Painter rushed for 80 yards on only six carries.

Homer-Center was led to victory by Gabe Cobaugh and Carson Arone. Cobaugh rushed for 89 yards and two scores, while Arone rushed for 51 yards and one touchdown.

West Shamokin's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Homer-Center, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

West Shamokin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 22-20 victory against Conemaugh Valley on the 17th. As for Homer-Center, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 42-7 defeat against Cambria Heights on the 17th.
