Volleyball Recap: Badger Badgers vs. Westosha Central Falcons

Badger lost against Westosha Central back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Badgers lost 3-0 to the Falcons. The Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Badger was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-6.

Kyla Walser paced Badger's offense, picking up five kills. Walser got some help from Laina Kirsch and her ten assists. Meara Heiselmann and Emilyanne Giese kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Westosha Central can attribute much of their success to Abigail Winner, who had four digs and four aces. That's the most aces Winner has posted over her last eight matches. Emily Steger also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Badger's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Westosha Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.

Badger has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Madison Memorial on the 11th. As for Westosha Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Indian Trail on the 11th.
