Baseball Recap: Redondo Union Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lawndale

There's no place like home for Redondo Union, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Lawndale Cardinals with a sharp 11-2 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Sea Hawks in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won six in a row.

Jack Green looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Redondo Union is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise.

At the plate, Redondo Union got a massive performance out of Ian Brown, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Mikey Ricardo, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Redondo Union was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

This will be Redondo Union's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lawndale, they will face off against Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Wiseburn- Da Vinci is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.
