Basketball Recap: Columbus Homeschool Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Columbus HomeSchool waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Kalamazoo HomeSchool Cougars by a score of 44-31.

Columbus HomeSchool found their leader in freshman Brianna Lancaster, who went 7-for-11 en route to 23 points. Lauren Barnes was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 12 boards and six steals.

Columbus HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are 11-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Columbus HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Kalamazoo HomeSchool, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Columbus HomeSchool won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fort Wayne GUARD HomeSchool at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kalamazoo HomeSchool, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Capital HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on February 13.
