Baseball Recap: South Dearborn Comes Up Short

South Dearborn and Batesville squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but South Dearborn had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-1 defeat last Thursday.

South Dearborn saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Hamlett, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

South Dearborn has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Batesville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-10.

South Dearborn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Batesville, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Greensburg on the 1st.
