If Coral Reef wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played American, they should've done a better job of containing Angel Torres. The American Patriots came out on top against the Coral Reef Barracudas by a score of 65-57 on Thursday thanks in part to Torres, who went 11 of 22 en route to 27 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high.

Coral Reef's loss came despite strong showings from Ashton Williams and Isaiah Charlot. Williams posted 16 points, while Charlot put up 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deandrick Cruse, who had eight points.

American's record is now 7-1. As for Coral Reef, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

American wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-19 loss against Clinton Grace Christian on the 27th. As for Coral Reef, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-58 victory against Olympic Heights on the 26th.
