Basketball Game Preview: Cassville Wildcats vs. Monett Cubs

Cassville is 2-7 against Monett since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cassville Wildcats will welcome the Monett Cubs at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

Last Thursday, Cassville made easy work of Seneca and carried off a 53-33 victory. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monett, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against East Newton on Thursday as Monett made off with a 74-54 win.

Monett's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Cassville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
