Basketball Game Preview: Opp Bobcats vs. Red Level Tigers

Opp and Red Level are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Opp Bobcats challenge the Red Level Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Opp is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53 points per game this season.

Opp fought the good fight in their overtime match against Florala on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Wildcats 57-53. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Opp might have lost, but man, DJ Hines was a machine: he almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. Hines is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeshurun Crittenden, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Red Level was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Florala, falling 57-37.

Opp's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Red Level, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Opp took their victory against Red Level in their previous meeting last Tuesday by a conclusive 52-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for Opp since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
