Rancho Dominguez's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Animo Robinson. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lobos.

Meanwhile, Rolling Hills Prep posted their closest win since April 9, 2024 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Shalhevet.

The team relied heavily on Matthew Moyer, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Sarner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
