Soccer Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

After soaring to six goals the game before, MacArthur was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lake Highlands Wildcats by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 337th, while the Wildcats are ranked 50th).

MacArthur has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. Lake Highlands pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MacArthur will welcome Pearce at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Highlands, they will be playing at home against Berkner at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Highlands is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.
