Basketball Game Preview: Crane Cranes vs. Brownfield Cubs

Crane hasn't had much luck against Brownfield recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Crane Cranes will square off against the Brownfield Cubs at 7:30 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Crane is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Stanton for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-37 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Cranes have posted against the Buffaloes since December 14, 2018.

Meanwhile, Brownfield entered their tilt with Coahoma on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 76-53 victory. The Cubs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Crane and bumps their season record up to 4-5. As for Brownfield, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

Crane was dealt a bruising 79-49 loss at the hands of Brownfield in their previous matchup back in February of 2019. Can Crane avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
