Basketball Recap: Lowellville Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lowellville entered their tilt with Waterloo on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Waterloo Vikings with a sharp 55-31 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-44 back in December of 2024.

Lowellville pushed their record up to 5-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Waterloo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowellville will welcome Springfield at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lowellville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Springfield likes a good challenge. Waterloo has already played their next match (against Jackson-Milton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
