Basketball Recap: Lincoln Prep's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Tempe Prep on Friday, Lincoln Prep came back down to earth. The Lightning took a hard 75-56 fall against the Veritas Prep Falcons on Tuesday. The Lightning have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Veritas Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Mason, who shot 46% from the field on his way to 17 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Perry, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 14 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lincoln Prep fell to 2-1.

Coming up, Lincoln Prep will face off against San Tan Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Lightning's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Veritas Prep, they will be taking part in a tournament against Scottsdale Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
