Baseball Recap: Pulaski County Comes Up Short

Pulaski County came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-2 to the Whitley County Colonels. The Maroons have struggled against the Colonels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Pulaski County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Gaskin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Pulaski County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Whitley County, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pulaski County will take on North Laurel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Whitley County, they will challenge Madison Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
