Volleyball Recap: MICDS Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only MICDS walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Visitation Academy Vivettes on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Vivettes on October 8th, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Among those leading the charge was Alayna Wright, who had 17 digs and two aces. Those 17 digs gave her a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Visitation Academy still got an impressive performance from Gracie Haniford, who had 15 digs and two aces. Haniford has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

MICDS is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-17 record this season. As for Visitation Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14-1.

MICDS didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Orchard Farm on the 27th. Visitation Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
