Basketball Game Preview: Brookhaven Panthers vs. Franklin County Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Brookhaven Panthers will face off against the Franklin County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Brookhaven took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 60-50 victory over South Pike.

NICHOLAS GAMBLE went supernova, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. Those 20 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of TRISTION THOMAS, who posted ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Franklin County over Wilkinson County in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs blew the Wildcats out of the water with a 65-21 final score. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The victory got Brookhaven back to even at 1-1. As for Franklin County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Brookhaven against Franklin County in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
