Basketball Recap: Woodside Takes a Loss

Woodside lost against Menlo-Atherton on January 8th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Woodside Wildcats were beaten by the Menlo-Atherton Bears 74-33. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 531st, while the Bears are ranked 92nd).

Woodside now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Menlo-Atherton, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Woodside has already played their next match, a 60-56 defeat against Half Moon Bay on the 29th. As for Menlo-Atherton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-29 win against Burlingame on the 29th.
