The Arvada West Wildcats are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Monarch Coyotes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Arvada West has three straight victories, Monarch has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Arvada West saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Green Mountain by a score of 72-64.

Meanwhile, Monarch had to suffer through a 66-35 loss at the hands of Fruita Monument.

Arvada West's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Monarch, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Arvada West against Monarch when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 75-48 victory. In that game, the Wildcats amassed a halftime lead of 46-26, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
