Soccer Recap: Cooper City Comes Up Short

Cooper City lost against Cypress Bay back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cooper City Cowboys lost 6-1 to the Cypress Bay Lightning. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Lightning are ranked 93rd).

Cooper City has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-2 record this season. As for Cypress Bay, they pushed their record up to 8-3-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Cooper City didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-2 defeat against South Plantation on the 13th. As for Cypress Bay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-3 draw against Coral Glades on the 9th.
