Basketball Recap: Huntington Extends Winning Streak to Four

Huntington had won three straight games and Antonio Dixon did his part to make it four on Saturday. The Huntington Raiders came out on top against the Carroll Bulldogs by a score of 56-47 thanks in part to Dixon, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. He has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Parker, who posted six points and ten assists. Those ten assists gave him a new career-high.

Huntington's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for Carroll, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huntington will host Parkway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Huntington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season. As for Carroll, they will be playing at home against Richwood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Carroll likes a good challenge.
