Recap: Manual Thunderbolts vs. Y Yuma
Even though the Y Yuma scored an imposing 70 points on Friday, the Manual Thunderbolts still came out on top. Manual took their match against Y 79-70. For Manual, this counts as revenge for the 66-48 defeat Y walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Deshawn Fox was a one-man wrecking crew for Manual as he scored 37 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Jovan Collins-falcon was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
Y's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jonathan Thomson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Sheffield, who scored 23 points.
Manual's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Y, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Manual will head out on the road to face off against Englewood at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Y, they will be playing at home against Wray at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
