Football Game Preview: Las Vegas Wildcats vs. Legacy Longhorns + How To Watch

The Las Vegas Wildcats will head out to square off against the Legacy Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Las Vegas has eight straight victories, Legacy has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Las Vegas is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Desert Pines, who was ranked 11th at the time (Las Vegas was ranked ninth). The Wildcats came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 35-22 on Friday.

Tanner Vibabul was his usual excellent self, throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 59 yards and one TD. Porter Wells was in the mix too, providing Las Vegas with two scores.

Meanwhile, Legacy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 19-13 to Canyon Springs. While the Longhorns had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Pioneers 6-0.

Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Las Vegas, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Las Vegas and Legacy were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in August of 2021, but Las Vegas came up empty-handed after an 8-7 loss. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
