Football Recap: Frost Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hubbard last Friday, Frost came back down to earth. The Polar Bears had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Mart Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Polar Bears in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Mart's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ah'Maad Scott, who rushed for 193 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns Scott has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmelo Medlock, who rushed for 126 yards and one score.

Frost's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Mart, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Frost is set to take on their familiar foe Bremond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mart will square off against rival Goldthwaite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
