St. Albans had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 76-65 win over the Annapolis Area Christian Eagles.
St. Albans had a senior duo take command as Grant Polk went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 37 points in addition to six boards and three steals and Jaylen Wills posted 25 points and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Polk has scored at least a third of St. Albans' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ej Harrison, who put up eight points.
St. Albans' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Annapolis Area Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
St. Albans and Blanche Ely will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Annapolis Area Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Severn School at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
