It was a good run, but Bruning-Davenport/Shickley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Nebraska Lutheran Knights by a score of 2-1. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Claire Hinrichs paced Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's offense, picking up seven kills. Hinrichs got some help from Olivia Schlegel and her 14 assists. Lauryn Koch controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Nebraska Lutheran, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-15.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nebraska Lutheran has already played their next match (against Shelby-Rising City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
