Softball Game Preview: Cypress Falls Golden Eagles vs. Cypress Ridge Rams

The Cypress Falls Golden Eagles will face off against the Cypress Ridge Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Cypress Falls has struggled recently with ten defeats in a row, while Cypress Ridge will arrive with five straight victories.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Cypress Falls' offense. They lost 16-0 to Cy-Fair on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Cypress Ridge hadn't done well against Stratford recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams never let the Spartans get on the board and left with an 8-0 win.

Ariel Arambula made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Brianna Morales was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Victoria Diaz, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Cypress Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Cypress Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 2-23.
