Soccer Game Preview: Cooper City vs. Western

The Cooper City Cowboys will face off against the Western Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Cooper City is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Nova onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Cowboys as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Western waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Gators 4-1. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Western pushed their record up to 9-6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Cooper City, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3-1 and their overall record up to 3-11-2.
