It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but White Oak ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Swansboro Pirates. Brianne Sanchez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for White Oak.

The win made it two in a row for White Oak and bumps their season record up to 14-9-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matchups. As for Swansboro, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8-3.

White Oak will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair will be back at it again later today.
