Soccer Recap: Watertown Comes Up Short

If Watertown was feeling good fresh off their 5-0 takedown of East Robertson last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Purple Tigers took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Livingston Academy Wildcats on Thursday. Watertown were not able to make up for their loss to Livingston Academy from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Watertown has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Livingston Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Watertown will challenge rival DeKalb County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Livingston Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
