Softball Recap: Davis Beats Layton for Their Eighth Straight Victory

Davis waltzed into their game on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Layton Lancers as they made off with a 15-0 win. The Darts' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three matchups.

Cambell Christensen and Serena Roth made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Christensen pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Roth pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Christensen went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Roth went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Norah Sunderland was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Riley Jaques was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
