Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Start). They took down the Southview Cougars 41-22 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Spartans needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The victory got Start back to even at 4-4. As for Southview, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Start will host Bowsher at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will be up against the BlueRacers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Southview, they will welcome Bowling Green at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
