Northview starts season with victory against Bellbrook

Northview took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Bellbrook Golden Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northview also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Vin Bentley tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Nick Schantz relieved him and did a solid job, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (he also only allowed one walk).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Christian Berling, who went 2-for-2 with a stolen base and an RBI. Another player making a difference was Josh Sprenger, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.

Bellbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Northview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory vs. Northridge on the 25th. As for Bellbrook, they will face off against Hudson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
