Volleyball Recap: Overhills Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Overhills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jack Britt Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Jack Britt scored at least 15 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-18, 17-25, 17-15.

Ally Williams paced Overhills' offense, picking up 25 kills. Williams got some help from Sophia Singh and her 36 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 13 aces.

Overhills' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Jack Britt, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Overhills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Richmond Senior on the 7th. As for Jack Britt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Cape Fear on the 6th.
