Volleyball Recap: Osceola Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Osceola, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Eagles, so the Bulldogs were just returning the favor.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24.

Kenzie Bartling paced Osceola's offense, picking up nine kills. Bartling got some help from Emersyn Prososki and her 19 assists. Camryn Peterson and Graci Conkling kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma Hoins, who had seven digs and two aces, and Emma Hinrichs, who had four digs and four assists.

Osceola's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Coincidentally, Osceola and Bruning-Davenport/Shickley will both be playing East Butler the next time they take the court. The Eagles will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
