Football Game Preview: Olathe Pirates vs. Meeker Cowboys + How To Watch

Olathe is 0-9 against Meeker since October of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Pirates will look to defend their home field against the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Olathe put up the most points they have all season last Friday. They blew past Grand Valley, posting a 34-0 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Pirates with their most commanding win of the season.

Olathe found their leader in sophomore Hunter Lynch, who rushed for 115 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 31 receiving yards. Lynch also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Pirates are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Meeker had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 46-34 victory over the Miners.

Olathe's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Meeker, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
