Football Game Preview: Smyrna Eagles vs. Dover Senators + How To Watch

Smyrna is 8-2 against Dover since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Senators at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Smyrna has three straight victories, Dover has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Smyrna is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: St. Georges Tech, who was ranked tenth at the time (Smyrna was ranked sixth). The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Hawks 44-12. That looming 44-12 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Smyrna's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Marks led the charge by rushing for 103 yards and one score on only ten carries, while also throwing for 233 yards and one TD while completing 76.9% of his passes. Those 103 rushing yards gave Marks a new career-high. Smyrna's leading receiver Phoenix Henriquez was Marks' top target yet again, picking up 108 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also punching in a pair of TDs on the ground.
