Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Arianna McDowell stepped things up a notch to give Ashbrook the 'W'. McDowell wasn't messing around, putting up eight points and eight boards. The game was her third straight with two or more steals dating back to last season.

McDowell and Ashbrook will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Bessemer City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greenwave had to take a loss when they last met the Yellow Jackets, but McDowell had little to do with the loss: she posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.
