Portsmouth West's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Minford Falcons 3-0. The Senators not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 15th (when they won 3-0).

Portsmouth West never let Minford on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19, 25-21.

Macey Whisman paced Portsmouth West's offense, picking up 13 kills. Whisman got some help from Brayleigh Pistole and her 21 assists. Finally, Whisman was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Portsmouth West's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for Minford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Portsmouth West will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on South Webster at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Minford, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Northwest on the 15th.
