Belleview Christian and Rocky Mountain Lutheran are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Bruins will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

Belleview Christian can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Friday. They were beaten by Simla 69-24. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Justus Cunningham, who posted seven points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Polson, who had eight points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain Lutheran hadn't done well against Dawson School recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Mustangs 59-57. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran's win came from a few key players Belleview Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Abraham Rivas, who put up 19 points and seven rebounds. Gavin Borchardt was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 12 boards.

Belleview Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Rocky Mountain Lutheran in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-45 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Borchardt, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds.
